While more and more people are currently leaving the church and questioning their faith, there is a growing interest in esoteric practices and spiritual rituals. This inevitably question of whether faith is essential to human existence. A belief in something that guides us like an invisible fixed point through life. But if we in the western world, for example, when we think of a God, what do we actually think of? An old man on a cloud? An invisible power between heaven and earth? An ingenious plan? The depth of the universe? Or do we not unconsciously think of ourselves? A self that is outside of our present state of being. A self that is better, more beautiful, more loving and more mindful. The optimal self - as an image before the inner eye.

But where does this image sit?

How can we reach this image?
Could mixed reality be a possible approach?

EXIT THROUGH THE UNIVERSE is the conceptual planning and content research of an interdisciplinary project to be realised in 2023/2024.

Thematically, CUTTY SHELLS  deals with the current of techno-shamanism and moves in the field of tension between virtuality and spirituality. At the interface of the physical body, film, scenography and virtual world building CUTTY SHELLS creates in collaboration with "die Ruhrgebieterinnen"  a concept for the museum and
theatrical space through transmedial storytelling.
