The third perspective scrutinises childbearing and looks at different perspectives on the ideology of antinatalism (voluntary childlessness) and creates a thought experiment:
On the one hand, we have maternal love as the greatest good on our planet. On the other hand, overpopulation is a problem that also has a major impact on the climate. What would it be like if we could install the mother's attitude in ourselves without the ongoing reproduction of our species? Based on this, CUTTY SHELLS designs an artificial art product:

‘MOTHER'S MILK’

A milk that, with harmless additives, gives the person drinking it the inner attitude of a mother for 24 hours.

By assuming a body of giving (Body of Source) and a body of receiving (Receiver), the project asks: Is being a mother always tied to a gender? As part of the residency at the Künstlerhaus, CUTTY SHELLS is creating a performative installation together with two non-binary performers and a costume and set designer. MOTHER'S MILK is a metaphor for a nourishing source of inspiration. Something that everyone can give?
Four artists who approach the topic from different disciplines. In addition, interviews will be conducted to help present this multi-layered topic in a more comprehensive way and make different perspectives visible. The collected results of the four-week residency at Künstlerhaus Nürnberg will be exhibited at SB-Space Between in Nuremberg.
